Kate Spade Trench - love love love!!!

Here it is - and it's awesome! I ironed it (kind of) and have it paired with two outfits so far. First a total basic: jeans and sweater, and then a real test: floral polka dots and my too skinny calves.

I am totally loving this thing!

(It looks so much more cream in the photos than tan, and the only ones I've seen irl are 100% tan. Perhaps there is a cream colour way after all?).

LOVE!! Enjoy, Challene :). It was well worth the expense and you will have it for a loooooooong time.

    So beautiful! You look gorgeous!

  • Ginkgo replied 10 years ago

You and the trench are amazing!

Note to self: it's worth it to buy one killer item with perfect cut and fit rather than a lot of low budget so-so pieces.

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Can you feel a serious trench envy coming your way? :-)

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

You look insanely fab! I don't consider this floofy and poofy at all, BTW - the lines and color are beyond any floofenpoof.

ETA: Okay, I saw IK's floofy/poofy post above this and somehow thought you were saying THIS was F & P! My bad!

  • Jem replied 10 years ago

Wow! That looks incredible! btw, I also love your shoes!

  • Girl X replied 10 years ago

    Thanks ladies!

Zapotee - It looked pretty gorgeous on you too!

Angie - If you take my pics, and the pics from the katespade site, my trench in real life is the colour right in the middle of the two. A touch yellower than my pics, a touch whiter than the katespade pics, but nothing I would consider to be tan. The colour I bought was called 'perfect beige' - I wonder if they sell a second colour in store?

AG - That really was my big concern before it arrived, that the flare would be more extreme than pictured, but it's pretty true to the site images. What might be bothersome to some is that the shape is there to stay; it's a bit stiff/crisp so it's never going to flatten down.

GoldenPig - Your ruffle trench is gorgeous!

Scarlet - What's great is that there are no shoulder seams, so the fit is determined by the chest/back instead - I wish my other coats were cut this way!

Rae - Oh yeah? Glad you think so Ms. 5'4" because guess how tall I am? You might need to consider a similar silhouette! lol

Vildy - I haven't had a chance to use the knuckle clutch yet, but I think it will have it's first outing soon. Glad you enjoyed the site ☺

Jonesy - Hee hee, tomorrow I'm posting a trench centric comic on my blog - it translated well!

CityGirlDC - Your trench has serious potential, and would be a great weekend project: iron it (hee hee!), swap in black buttons (or cheat and paint them with black nail polish!), swap in a black belt - ta da: amazing statement coat. If you're good with a needle and thread, you could also do a black ribbon edge at or above the hem.

    Thanks again everyone!

That is a serious STATEMENT coat! And GX, you have the perfect partner in those plum little pumps! This is a fabulousness score of at least a 12, out of a possible 10 :-D

  • Mander replied 10 years ago

LOVE. Especially with the blue dress!
