WIW part 2 (6 outfits)

The smart casual edition:

1 – Stripes and jacket.
Yea! Absolutely no groceries or errands were involved in the wearing of this outfit.

2 – Maxi dress and candy
I like casual maxi dresses, they have a formal enough air that I can wear candy jewellery or whatever silly thing with them, and still go out for dinner and not be under-dressed.

3 – Very short torn up dress
I wore this out for my birthday in Toronto, but took the picture a while later when I threw the dress back on to show my guy what it looked like. I wore black sequined pumps with it when I went out but didn’t have them with me for the photo. The dress was slightly bigger when I first wore it – but shrunk a little in the wash, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to wear it again since this post shrinkage length is a little short – even for my high threshold for baring skin.

4 – Cropped jeans risqué blazer
As already mentioned, I am very comfortable showing a bit of skin.

5 – Disappointing shoes
I like these shoes but they were totally not what I wanted to wear with this. Alas, I had a lot of walking ahead of me so I had to make do. I wore a black blazer as well (on and off throughout the day) but hadn’t yet chosen it when I did the pictures.

6 – Bandage skirt, cape front blouse, and combat boots
I had another big walking day, but even if I didn’t I’m sure I would have worn the combat boots anyway since the blouse is a bit frillier than I’m accustomed to looking.

Thanks for peeking in :)

KILLER dramatic scarf, belted white blazer, statement necklaces, and of course combat boots! I agree that #3 might have gotten a bit short... too bad. Maybe you can throw it over some skinnies in the cooler months?

Please continue to post outfits -- one of these days I will have the necessary items to shamelessly copy you. ;)

Wow. I think these are the first of your pics I've seen and they are all so stylish. I don't think any of them would seem out of place in a fashion magazine. You rock!!

  • sarah replied 12 years ago

These are all FANTASTIC! #4 is killing me!

  • Jonesy replied 12 years ago

Fabulous looks, Girl X!! You are rocking the black and white outfits like nobody's business. That belted white jacket is flawless on you, and I agree that the striped skirt paired with the ruffled top and the combat boots is pure genius :). All of the other outfits are lovely too...Sad about the dress shrinking...

You look amazing. I'm blown away with the fabness of #4 and want to copy that one with full length jeans since my legs aren't as long and gorgeous as yours.

  • Aida replied 12 years ago

Wooo so glad you posted!! These are all awesome, I love the boldness (color! skin! cuts!) LOVE #4 (yowza!), and #6 comes in at a close second. Beautiful maxi, the plunging backline is lovely.

You have a bold, sexy and stunning style. Winners all. #4 has me racing to buy a white blazer right now.

  • Sveta replied 12 years ago

I LOVE the last outfit - such unexpected pairing - but all of them are fab!

  • Sara L. replied 12 years ago

I love all these outfits and especially the shoes in #1 and #4. I also really like your maxi dress. I've been on the look out for one all summer and just haven't found one that looks good on me, although I always think they look great on other people.

  • cjh replied 12 years ago

#4 and #6 are my favorites. What a selection! You look really great in all these outfits.

  • Freckles replied 12 years ago

    Simply stunning.

I bought a skirt today for an event in Toronto next month and I'm thinking it's frump now...

  • bj1111 replied 12 years ago

i MUST have that jacket in #1. i am in serious lust.

  • Girl X replied 12 years ago

    Thanks again everyone!

Rae - I'm thinking I might just shorten it into a top and try it that way. Regardless of length, it'll be easier to wear as a top anyway.

Freckles - I bet the skirt is awesome. Let's see it; the brilliant fashion minds of YLF will ensure that you look totally kick ass for your Toronto event.

BJ - The jacket is from http://www.etsy.com/shop/ErinA.....id=6812376 - and it's amazing (check out the pics of all the things you can do with the ties/belt!) It's like some sort of Infinite Jacket - and Erin Klym's craftsmanship is pretty perfect.
