Inspired By nature, Day 1

(Like many others, I wanted this on my (Y)LF page as well!)

I wound up ignoring the elephants for the most part, and concentrated on the varying shades of mauve in the picture. I went with brown instead of purple - since I don't own any purple - as my dark hue, and mixed in a few pinks.

The dangling belt was initially going to be my elephant trunk, but I didn't like it flapping around.

Thanks for peeking in!

** I bought this necklace while shopping in NYC with Bella, at a consignment shop that Zapotee pointed us to! **

Ooh I like it. Lots of cool GX elements, but really a little different for you no?

  • JennyAnne replied 11 years ago

Very nice! Great color combo and seriously awesome shoes.

OMG, this is a fabulous outfit-I LOVE the combination different shades of mauve! Love the jewelry as well!

Love the connection with Zap and Bella :)

    Boho meets Bombshell. Very nice!

Love! These pictures are fabulous and you look stunning! I bet the elephants don't even mind being ignored they're so impressed

Super fabulous style - as always!

JJ - Seriously, right? Every single thing is my usual - but all together it's a way softer look than I normally do!

JennyAnne - Thanks! The shoes actually came with a bow on the heel, but I cut them off :)

Victoria, Traci & Shannon - Thanks! You guys are so sweet!

Angie - I kept thinking it looked boho somehow, but aside from the hat I would never think of any of the pieces as being in that vein. Yet even without the hat, it still had a boho vibe - so weird!

NicoleB - Ha! lol - I hope you're right and the elephants don't mind because ... they never forget.

Gorgeous. Love how you manage to give such soft and classic pieces a little edge! You've got more style in the brim of your hat than most people can manage in an entire outfit.

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

So lovely!! You always have such awesome shoes. I wonder if it's the colors being soft and lightly earthy that contribute to the boho vibe? This is a bombshell look I would happily, happily sport.

Gorgeous, GX! Love all the texture from the silver and belt, and the afternoon-haze colours of skirt and top, your beautiful shoes reminiscent of the rosy last rays near the sand... And the hat adds just the right amount of outdoorsy atmosphere to an essentially chic, sophisticated, girl-about-town outfit. Cleverly done!

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

*sigh* You look so incredibly beautiful. Such wonderful, soft colors.

  • Patty replied 11 years ago

So classy!! Such a smart combination!!!

That is one of the best outfits I have seen and there are so many fabulous outfits here. I love everything about it from the color, to the pieces, the accessories (belt in particular) and the jewellery. That necklace is gorgeous.

    Love it all.

You radiate confidence and class. Love!

Chouette22 - Thanks! It's always nice to see you on the forum :)

Chrizzle - Oh my goodness - now I feel seriously sassy!

Aida - I normally think of boho in terms of silhouette and print, but I think you're right, it's the colours that are doing it.

ManidipaM, Amy, Patty, Dianthus, & Joy - I'm literally blushing, which is quite the feat for a brown skinned girl!

    Thanks again everyone!

This is just beautiful! I think you have really captured the mood of the picture.

I adore this outfit on you! Glamorous and mysterious and relaxed all at once. Fab.

And I agree wholeheartedly with your comments in the bigger thread. Each interpretation is so different, yet feels so responsive to the photo!
